Binance Appoints SB Seker as New Head of APAC to Drive Regional Growth and Regulatory Engagement

Binance has appointed SB Seker as its new Head of Asia Pacific (APAC), aiming to enhance its regional growth and regulatory engagement across one of the world’s most dynamic crypto markets. Seker brings over twenty years of experience spanning public service, traditional finance, fintech, and digital assets. Before joining Binance, he served as Senior Vice President at Crypto.com Group, where he managed global product development and oversaw legal and regulatory matters for the APAC and MENASA regions. His previous roles also include senior legal positions with Ant Group, Rothschild & Co, and work as a central banking lawyer at the Monetary Authority of Singapore.

In this new role, Seker will lead Binance’s regional operations, strengthen compliance efforts, and build strategic partnerships throughout APAC. A major focus will be working closely with policymakers and regulators to navigate Asia’s evolving digital asset landscape and foster responsible, sustainable growth. His leadership comes at a time when the region, particularly hubs like Hong Kong, is seeing advances in regulatory frameworks and increasing institutional adoption of crypto assets.

With APAC representing a significant portion of global crypto ownership and trading activity, Seker’s appointment signals Binance’s commitment to upholding high standards of compliance and adapting to regulatory changes while expanding its presence in the region. He expressed enthusiasm for joining Binance, emphasizing the importance of innovation, regulatory cooperation, and delivering robust operations in partnership with the local community and stakeholders.
